With the Collaboration of Meenta and Agilent Technologies Meenta and Agilent Technologies are Bringing Genomic Speed and Affordability to the Forefront of Science and Medicine.

Meenta was founded on the belief that life science and diagnostics could benefit significantly from the technological revolution that has forever altered the way we shop, eat, vacation, and travel. As a result, the Meenta marketplace, founded on technology and located at the crossroads of supply and demand, brings together the most comprehensive range of testing products and laboratory services
Fremont, CA: Meenta, Inc. announced a collaboration with Agilent Technologies to accelerate research advancements for scientists who lack funding for instruments but require data for research projects. The partnership is motivated by the need for researchers to have access to instrumentation and reagents that are readily available and reasonably priced. Meenta, as a marketplace, can aggregate demand, lowering the cost of consumables and allowing users to compare options with transparent pricing easily. Send samples rather than emails.
Both academic and biotech research organizations require sample sequencing equipment. However, statistics show that 48 percent of scientific equipment in labs worldwide is unused. Agilent SureSelect target enrichment reagents are available to customers who want to run exomes or other targeted panels on the Meenta platform and access equipment on the Meenta Marketplace. Meenta ensures that core facilities have affordable and efficient access to supplies. As a result, they don't have to stock reagents while also providing research scientists with a fast and efficient way to go from sample run to data analysis.
"We are very excited about our new collaboration with Meenta. Because of their ability to manage the entire sequencing workflow for customers who do not have direct access to a sequencer, next generation sequencing is now available to anyone who is interested. By including our SureSelect exome kits and other catalogue panels in their offerings, more researchers will be able to benefit from Agilent's targeted sequencing "said Victor Miller, Agilent's Diagnostics and Genomics Group Indirect Channel Manager, AFO/EMEAI.
The collaboration will provide local genomics researchers with access to world-class sequencing services at any time and from any location. In addition, the offering on a cloud-based marketplace offers a mechanism for producing data more quickly than purchasing new equipment or looking for a facility on its own.
"The collaboration will provide a unified way to access laboratory reagents, instruments, and informatics, resulting in a faster and more efficient path to data that can then be translated into foundational discoveries that can change lives," said Gabor Bethlendy, CEO of Meenta, Inc.
Finally, the collaboration will allow for faster research discoveries translated into much-needed clinical diagnostics. To learn more about joining the all-access program, go to the Meenta Marketplace by clicking here.
