Cardinal Health Joins Hands with Kinaxis to Enhance Digital Supply Chain Management

The RapidResponse platform will be fully implemented across the Cardinal Health medical business by the end of the calendar year 2023
Fremont, CA: Cardinal Health is a pharmaceutical supplier, a worldwide producer and distributor of medical and laboratory equipment, and a supplier of health care performance and data solutions. The firm intends to use the Kinaxis RapidResponse platform to improve healthcare brand awareness and supply chain agility.
Kinaxis provides the agility necessary to make quick, confident choices in integrated enterprise planning and the digital supply chain. People can make better plans, live better lives, and improve the world. They integrate human intelligence with AI and concurrent planning to enable organizations to prepare for any future, monitor challenges and vulnerabilities, and adapt at the speed of change. Prominent companies trust them. Kinaxis provides industry-proven apps powered by an extensible, cloud-based infrastructure, allowing everyone to know sooner, act quicker, and eliminate waste.
"Kinaxis RapidResponse is the world's first and only concurrent planning platform," said John Sicard, Kinaxis CEO. "We're excited to collaborate with Cardinal Health to bring this advanced planning to healthcare customers and increase accessibility to the products they need most."
Kinaxis will improve Cardinal Health's medical supply chain by implementing concurrent planning and end-to-end network visibility and transparency while accounting for seasonality and pandemic planning; instantly balancing demand and supply while accounting for capacity safeguards; simulating product supply scenarios in seconds to create best-fit solutions for customers. The platform enables quick, confident judgments by leveraging powerful insights and analytics in real-time.
Cardinal Health will concentrate first Kinaxis RapidResponse implementation efforts inside the Cardinal Health at-Home Solutions business, the leading direct-to-home seller of disposable medical supplies, with a completion date of Summer 2022.
"Integrating Kinaxis RapidResponse allows us to view our entire supply chain in real-time to proactively mitigate and minimize potential impacts to our customers – and ultimately, their patients," said Paul Rodio, SVP Global Planning at Cardinal Health. "Kinaxis is a key enabler to driving optimization in our end-to-end global planning process."
Cardinal Health will standardize medical planning under one platform with the integration of RapidResponse, boosting planning, supply chain management, risk assessment, and stock abilities.
